Work Truck

I bought this truck as a present for my Ex-girlfriend. At the time, I had big plans for this rig, from camping to getting engaged. Sadly, that came to an end. (Which I can only point the finger at me.)

As I was moving out of the house, I didn't know what to do with this broken-down truck. IT had potential and signs of life. It's pretty clean for a 39-year-old truck. It was kind of a reminder of what could have been. It was all hopes and dreams; it was a gift for her. Do I sell it and try to forget the memories, or do I keep it? When I presented it to her, I promised I would never sell it. So, at the end of the day, the choice was simple. I will keep it. So, with that being said, I decided to make it into my work photography truck. I was tired of driving my Subaru to rodeos.

It's been a project that has helped bring healing and hope. It's a reminder that not all broken things are wasted. With a bit of time and dedication, anything can be restored. With friends coming alongside, I have been able to slowly build up this truck and slowly rebuild it piece by piece. I could never do it alone; I would never want to. Life is made to do things together. So I shipped it off to Eugene, where I could have my dad help me, and my best friend was doing the paintwork. I project a truck that I purchased for $300 bucks. To others, it seemed like junk and a waste of time. Often, at this moment, I felt like this old truck.

This 1985 F250 is the new company rig. It has a new interior, some new paint, and some new parts. I will be traveling this summer around ranches and Rodeos taking photos. Iā€™m excited to see where this old rig takes me.
